First established in 1964 by Ron Lax; Rick, Ron's son, first began learning the art of taxidermy at only 12 years old. After forming a partnership in 1993, Ron & Rick capitalized on their awareness of how crucial catch-and-release would become in the fishing industry. Preparing for the future, Ron & Rick began casting many of the skin mounts brought in, starting their extensive collection of molds. With over 200 molds to date, Lax Reproductions can replicate nearly any size and specifies caught.

Following Ron's retirement in 2003, Rick took over the business and continues to be an innovator, challenging himself to stay ahead of the curve and produce replicas of the highest quality.
